A German (poss. Nuremberg) Painted Iron Strong Box/Armada Chest, 17th Century,
With functioning elaborate eight lock mechanism and two keys. With two large iron handles on sides, front with iron work design and two large latches, top with lock mechanism, painted design throughout.

H: 16 3/4 W: 29 1/4 D: 17 3/4 in.

Condition

Key not original, key remade. Opens with difficulty, one key turns and functional, other key is stuck but could be unstuck with effort.
