A Pair of Eastern Orthodox Gilt, Painted and Highly Carved Hardwood Royal Doors, 17th Century, Having a heavily carved acanthus leaf motif and two foliate masks encompassing two painted icons depicting the saints Gregory and Athanasius. The doors are separated by a detachable molding having a gilt and carved ball and bellflower motif. This piece contains modern brackets for hanging.
