A Very Fine Jumeau French 18in. Bisque Fashion Doll, c. 1870, The bisque head is impressed '4', having a socket head with mohair wig, white threaded spiral blue glass eyes, painted eyebrows, eyelashes, lips and rouge cheeks. She has pierced ears, a closed mouth and bisque shoulder plate over a carved wood body with jointed limbs, hands and feet. Wearing a lace wedding dress and veil. Together with a silk dress, leather boots, velvet and lace hat, one shoe and strand of seed pearls. H: 18 in. Second place ribbon from the 2007 Detroit United Federation of Doll Clubs 58th Convention Exhibition.
Condition
Tears and losses to silk dress, minor mark to cheek.
