Each volume approximately 825 pp., many illustrations, including full color chromolithographic maps.
Each volume is H:10 1/8 x W: 7 x D: 2 1/4 in.
Poor. Leather stiff and cracked on many volumes. Bumped, scuffed, and rubbed spines and corners, with significant loss. Many volumes detaching at spine (with hinge intact). Marbled boards scuffed and rubbed with some loss. Vol. 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 significantly damaged by water, with pages and boards warped.
Vol. 2 and 5 have extensive ink and pencil 19th cent. annotations.
