A penny scale by Aristo. Machine is cast iron with a light green porcelain enamel. Metal foot stand has text which reads Pace Mfg. Company Aristo Chicago, Ill. Placard instructs user to stand still on scale, then deposit one penny. Machine comes with pair of keys which open a compartment at the back.
H: 48 W: 11 1/2 D: 20 1/4 in.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
In working order, does not currently require a penny for use. Compared to a calibrated scale, this one is arriving at numbers about six pounds higher than accurate. Areas of loss to enamel, discoloration of metal features, paint loss from placard, wear, grime and use commensurate with age. Gray’s Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
