Poor. Spine, covers, and corners bumped, scuffed, and rubbed. Extensive water damage and warping to pages and boards. Dog-eared, tears, and ink stains.

Bookplate on interior front: "Library of Dr. J. M. Birkner. No. 98." Many pencil annotations and inscriptions throughout the interior flyleaves and boards.
