Mounted on laminated wood with labeld "eye end" for re-insertion to storage case. Designed to rest on table for teaching students how to use survey instruments, or for plane-table surveying.

Label on leveling mechanism with stadia hair conversions. Bubble and spirit levels accurate, and focus of telescopic lens in good working condition. Wooden case bumped and scuffed, commensurate with use.
