Chevrolet Lighted Owl Sign, ca. 1920s,
A lighted display stand sign for Chevrolet featuring a masonite cutaway of a green owl with lighted jeweled eyes. When plugged in, the owl’s eyes light up and wink and the message “it’s wise to choose a six” flashes inside a translucent panel in his body. Text of sign reads Chevrolet | for Economical Transportation. Tin back houses electrical elements. Comes with an electrical cord which plugs into a standard outlet.

Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
Some areas of paint loss to the front side of the sign at the owl’s face, feet and the Chevrolet logo. Additional minor paint loss on tin stand and tin backing of stand. Power cord shows wear but functions. Areas of wear, grime and use commensurate with age. Gray’s Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
