A Large Chinese Cloisonné on Brass Center Bowl, 19th Century.
Interior with yellow ground, central floral turquoise motif, surrounded with green and red foliate decoration, with meander pattern in black and turquoise.
Exterior with turquoise ground, decorated with foliate and spiral decorations, with a dark blue, red and black border.
H: 3 D: 15 in.
Property of a Midwest Collector. In the family for three generations.
Two dents to upper lip. Losses to enamel to the outer rim in two areas: a 1/2 inch diameter loss under the dent and a 1/4 inch diameter loss close to foot of bowl. An 1/8 inch loss to the interior of bowl. Firing imperfections and bubbling to enamel. Minor chips and losses to interior of bowl. Surface scratches to interior of foot.
