Stafford Nickelodeon Company Coin-Operated Orchestrion Upright Player Piano, Early 20th Century.
A Stafford Nickelodeon Company coin-operated orchestrion upright player piano in working condition. A carved mahogany wood facade features two leaded and stained glass windows covering the upper and lower panels, revealing glimpses to the inside mechanism, crafted by the Pratt Read Player Action Company of Deep RIver, Connecticut. Insert a coin and the piano begins to play. A tambourine, triangle, wood block, accordion, drum and cymbal complete the band, along with a paper roll and lights, all of which fit neatly inside the body of the piano. Plastic and wooden piano keys move as the music plays.
