A Collection Of Magic Lantern Slides, 19th & 20th Century,
A wooden box containing seventy glass magic lantern slides containing photographs of life, buildings and points of interest in Japan. One bearing Joseph Hawkes of NY's label.

Together with a Cramer's Contrast Plates cardboard box containing twelve negative photographic slides on glass depicting landscapes and human scenes in Japan.

Average Slide Dimensions: H: 3 1/4 x W: 4 x D: 1/8 in.

One slide has a crack in glass. #66 has a 3 1/4" crack. One plate has a 3/4 in. break at the corner. General wear commensurate with use.
