Frontispiece Portrait of Captain Cook engraved by James Basire after William Hodges. 41 engraved plates (1 of these folding), 14 maps (4 folding), 2 folding schematics, 1 folding letterpress table.

Bound in contemporary mottled leather with gilt borders, raised bands, red leather title label, green leather volume label, decorative gilt spine panels, blue speckled edges.
