Our first timed auction of the year, features voluminous volumes and curious curiosities. Lot 126, Tielke's volume on the war between the Prussians, Austrians, and Russians, is from the Library of Thomas Howard, the British deserter and United States supporter. Lot 53 isJohn Greaves volume on the history of English weights and measures. Lot 1 is an Andreas Vogler sundial and compass. Lot 7 is a Young & Sons transit and tripod. Poor. Front fllyleaves loose. Title page has damage and loss from erasure of past pencil inscriptions. Spine and front board detached from binding, but still attached to back board and binding. Scuffed, bumped, and rubbed significantly Losses on spine and corners. . Water damage and stains on top edges of some pages. Back interior board missing marbling.

Possible removal of ink from previous collector or owner's stamp. on title page, and again on page 100.

Some pages cut at fore-edge margins.
