Dr. Pepper Advertising Clock, Mid 20th Century,
A square framed wall clock advertising for Dr. Pepper. Text reads: Drink Dr. Pepper Good for Life! Glass case has a reverse painted white border. Below the glass is set a white tube light which frames the border of the clock. Numbers 2, 4 and 10 are larger than other numbers and red colored (the remaining numbers are black.) Synchron movement. Signed by Lackner, Cin. O. Chain at top by which clock can be hung. Powered by an electrical cord which plugs into a standard outlet.
H: 15 1/4 W: 15 1/2 D: 4 3/4 in.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
The light functions and the second hand of the clock sweeps. Areas of paint loss to reverse painted glass. Body of the clock has been repainted and there is some paint splatter from this restoration along the chain. Face of the clock has some discoloration (darkening) adjacent to the neon element. Other areas of wear, grime and use commensurate with age. Gray’s Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
