Star Machine Manufacturers Electro-Hoist Crane Machine Game, Mid 20th Century,
A vintage arcade game with a crane/claw mechanism, manufactured by Star Machine between 1931 and 1939. This model, the Try-Your-Skill Electro-Hoist, features an oak case with three glass panels and a mirrored panel at the interior back side with printed instructions. The machine operates via insertion of a 5¢ coin into an exterior slot and maneuvering of a dial to orient a cast metal crane and digger/claw, which are suspended on chains. When in operation, the claw scoops from a collection of assorted plastic toys, which are then deposited into a chute for delivery to the player via an outside slot that pivots open and closed. Comes with two keys.
