An Assembled Set of English Hand Painted Floral Plates and Compote by John Allsup and Derby, 19th Century,
Comprising of a footed compote (5 1/4 x 11 1/2 in.), three rectangular serving plates (9 1/4 x 11 1/2 in.), two circular serving plates (10 1/2 x 9 in.) and four (9 1/2 in.) dessert plates.
Losses to gilt throughout. Fine hairline scratches to plates. The footed center bowl has chips to base, losses to pigment to inside of bowl and restoration to hairline crack to rim and bowl with applied varnish and pigment to hide repair both inside and out. Yellowing to paint on footed center bowl.
