Two English Ironstone Lidded Sauce Tureens, 19th Century,
Together with a Mason's ironstone cream pitcher.
Pitcher dimensions: H: 5 1/4 x W: 4 1/2 x D: 4 3/4 in.
Tureen dimensions: H: 5 1/2 x W: 4 3/4 x D: 7 1/2 in.
Oval tureen has applied pigments which has been refired. Multiple losses of pigment due to refiring. Oval tureen lid and bowl have areas of clear varnish applied to the inside and outside of the lid. No visible repairs, possible repair to lid s.
Rectangle tureen have areas of clear varnish applied to the outside of the lid. Varnish and impaint to the inside of the rectangular tureen.
Repair to the tureen on inside. No impaint or varnish to the lid. Chip to base of the finial with areas of gilt loss.
Repair to pitcher on upper lip above the middle handle. Rebuilt upon lip. Area of repair approx. 1 inch diameter. Penetrating hair line fracture with small chip to spout of pitcher. Area of fracture approx. 1 inch in length.
Together with a Mason's ironstone cream pitcher.

Condition
