Four American Silhouettes in Original Frames, 19th Century,
Two pairs of silhouettes. One pair is shown on a dark background and includes a lock of hair in one and a leaf in the other in distinctive diamond grid gilt frames with wallpaper backs. The other two are typical examples of the form.
Largest dims: H: 1 x W: 5 x D: 5 1/2 in.
Paint loss on the edges and one frame has lost a nail holding the silhouette in place.
