Our first timed auction of the year, features voluminous volumes and curious curiosities. Lot 126, Tielke's volume on the war between the Prussians, Austrians, and Russians, is from the Library of Thomas Howard, the British deserter and United States supporter. Lot 53 isJohn Greaves volume on the history of English weights and measures. Lot 1 is an Andreas Vogler sundial and compass. Lot 7 is a Young & Sons transit and tripod. Whether lost in a book or lost in the woods, there is something to keep the thrill of discovery alive in this short, sweet, auction.

With 30 black film holders, mixed brands (e.g. Agfa, Graflex); 8 wooden film holders, mixed brands; 5 Kodak cut film sheaths; 12 miscellaneous film holder parts. With spare camera film holder that attaches to camera.

With cloth and felt lined camera case. With spare lens, Eastman Kodak Company.

With photo negative in camera of a waterfall, location unknown.

Case is H: 10 1/4 x W: 13 x D: 7 in.

Camera (collapsed) is H: 10 x W: 8 1/8 x D: 5 1/2 in. Fair to poor. Cloth camera case sun faded, with losses to leather straps. Case is scuffed, stained, and rubbed, fraying at edges. Camera lens is clear, with working aperture and shutter timer. Film holders are scuffed and scratched, commensurate with age. Spare Kodak lens has sticky shutter, but otherwise working aperture and shutter.
