A Large Double-Sheet Page Engraved Map on period laid paper. Lower left corner inscribed C. Sepp sculpsit.
Hand-coloring only to the coastline and some of the rivers.
Mounted on muslin.

From the Atlas Nouveau, Contenant Toutes les Parties du Monde. This historic map shows important major parts of the American Southeast, including Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, the Carolinas and part of Northern Florida. It also notes some topographical and geographical features, plus numerous Native American Indian Tribes and a few scattered towns, having French text.

Condition

Fading to color, Center vertical crease from fold with minor separation top and bottom of fold. All lots have imperfections or the effects of aging. Gray's Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
