3 volumes, 8vo. Full marbled leather. Red ruled and gilt title, with gilt spine.

Vol. 1: Portrait frontispiece, x, with corrections to the three volumes, 485 pp., with illustrations, with errata.
Vol. 2: 384 pp., 6 folding plates (including 1 map).
Vol. 3: 383 pp., 3 plates (2 folding and 1 map).

Each volume is H: 8 5/8 x W: 5 1/2 x D: 1 1/2 in.

Condition

Poor. Some pages in Vol. 2 uncut. Back board separating at hinge of Vol. 2. Significant scuffing, rubbing, and bumping to covers at panels, and at corners. Spine of vol. 2 frayed with some loss. Cover of Vol. 3 some scuffs and losses. Corners have significant loss on all volumes. Slight toning and foxing, slight page warping.

Owner inscription in pencil: "A. [F?] Chesney."
