An Italian Old World Zodiac Globe with Hidden Cocktail Bar Interior, on Castors, 20th Century,
With hinged lid which opens to reveal the hidden revolving bar featuring an ice bucket, and cut out spaces for cocktail glasses and liquor bottles. Base of interior painted with a Bacchanalian scene.
Exterior decoration in the style of a 16th Century Italian Globe features Latin descriptions, ornate printed motifs including zodiac signs, topography and scenic vignettes.
H: 40 D: 28 1/2 in.
Minor areas of surface scratches.
