Lighted Arrow Motel Sign, Mid 20th Century,
A red painted metal sign in the shape of an arrow with hand painted letters advertising Motel. Sixteen small light bulbs are plugged into a line of sockets along the body of an arrow and they flash in sequence when the light is plugged in. The electric plug for the sign is at the top center and there are two additional hooks with chains for mounting the light from above.
H: 69 W: 11 D: 10 in.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
Light is in working order. There are sockets on the reverse of the light with no bulbs present; these have not been tested. Areas of paint loss, wear, grime and use commensurate with age. Gray’s Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
