Lighthouse Strength Grip Tester Arcade Game, Early 20th Century.
A 5¢ arcade strength testing game featuring original mechanical elements and reproduction case, fittings and plaques. The game has an oak cabinet with aluminum legs and cast aluminum signs. A stucco lighthouse tower with eight graduated light-up windows of strength sits atop the base. Insert a 5¢ and grip the lever to test your strength. When top strength level is achieved a loud horn blows from the lighthouse. A key is provided.
H: 83 1/2 W: 17 1/2 D: 14 1/2 in.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
In working order. Oak case has been restored and refinished with some repair to the wood. Metal plates and feet are aluminum recasts of original cast-iron. Top of the lighthouse rotates but the inside bulb at the top of the lighthouse is burnt out. Lower coin compartment is non-functioning; turns but does not engage. All lots have imperfections or the effects of aging. Gray's Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
