Magic Lantern Mixed Jet Illuminants, 19th Century,
Two brass regulators by Robert Royou Beard of Bermondsey, London (Patents 27026 and 270270, a heavy brass mixed jet, a McAllister of New York brass and steel group of connected stopcocks patented Nov 10, 1865, item number 437 HY; three brass, steel and iron devices and a cast brass stopcock (Pat applied for). These British and American inventions were designed to increase the brightness of lime light for magic lantern projections.

Condition

Wear commensurate with age and use. Tarnish and wear to lacquered brass. Untested.
