An embossed vertical sign advertising Marathon Gasoline and Motor Oil. Marked: Enameled Steel Sign Co., Chicago. Metallic colored border with red and black background and off-white bold letters.
H: 66 W: 15 3/4 in.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
Losses to paint in several places, notably at the top edge of the sign, across the sign adjacent to the R and at the corners. Smaller scratches and additional paint loss, as well as some discoloration on letters, overall wear, grime and use commensurate with age. Gray’s Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
