Mutoscope Corp. Floor View Machine, Early - Mid 20th Century.
1¢ Floor Mutoscope View Machine, c. 1940, with “Louis KO’s Schmeling” moving picture show and sign. Depicts a boxing match between Joe Lewis and Max Schmeling in 1938. Tin cabinet painted red and brown. Put a penny in the slot and crank the handle towards the right continuously to watch the movie play.

In working order. Marquee is original but sign is replaced with a reproduction (gouache and photograph.) Some oxidation and yellowing to photographs as well as some damage to photographs. Comes with two keys. Has been repainted. Surface oxidation and areas of rust throughout. Losses to pigment on outer case. All lots have imperfections or the effects of aging. Gray's Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
