Bound in blind stamped speckled leather, raised bands with gilt borders and floral design, red leather spine label with title, "Newton Opticks," speckled edges, decorative gilt spine edges.

With bookplate, Col. Geo. Callander of Craigforth. (Callander, George, Colonel, 1770-1824 (6th of Craigforth).
