A Rare Chinese Nine Dragon Silk and Gold Metallic Thread Embroidery Panel, Qing Dynasty, 18th Century
With central gilt embroidered dragon chasing a flaming pearl of wisdom, surrounded by eight smaller dragons each chasing a flaming pearl. Set amongst satin stitch Ruyi-shaped clouds, above satin stitch ocean waves, crashing on mountain peaks. On an apricot colored satin ground, with rounded corners.
In a square black frame.
H: 48 1/2 W: 49 in.

Water stains, tears to satin and loose gold metallic thread on upper left dragon's claw.
