White turned partially glazed earthenware pitcher painted in brown and blue, 1959, numbered 30/300, inscribed Edition Picasso and Madoura, with the Madoura Plein Feu and Edition Picasso pottery stamps under base.
Conceived in 1959 and executed in an edition of 300.
H: 8 7/8 W: 6 3/8 in.
Alain Ramie: Catalogue of the Edited Ceramic Works, 1947 - 1971, the complete catalogué of Picasso's ceramic works.
Firing imperfections and losses to glaze on rim and handle, flea bite chips to foot rim, firing crack on seam of upper portion of handle, surface scuffs and stains.
