The Compleat Gentleman: fashioning him absolut in the most necessary and commendable qualities, concerning minde or body, that may be required in a noble gentleman. Wherevnto is annexed a description of the order of a maine battaile or pitched field, eight severall wayes: with the art of limming and other additions newly enlarged, by Henry Peacham. Pt. 2 has title: The Gentlemans Exercise; or, An exquisite practise, as well for drawing all manner of beasts in their true portraitures: as also the making of all kinds of colours, to be vsed in limming, painting...London, Printed for I. M. and are to be sold by F. Constable, 1634.

[The second impression, much inlarged] . whereunto is annexed a description of the order of a maine battaile or pitched field.

London : Printed [by John Legat] for Francis Constable, and are to bee sold at his shoppe in Pauls Church-yard, at the signe of the Crane, 1634.

Bound in blind stamped leather with raised band, title on spine in gilt, speckled edges.
Condition: Good. Binding is scratched and rubbed, edges rubbed, corners bumped, some water straining to head of text.


H: 7 3/4 W: 5 1/2 in.

Fair to Good. Some staining around edges, slight offsetiing to text.
With notes in ink at rear free endpapers.
