Frontispiece, vii, 624 pp., with numerous illustrations, with 86 plates (including 11 folding charts), with appendix.

Fair to poor. Front board almost completely detached, clinging by portion of panel. Boards scuffed, rubbed, and bumped, with losses. Tail and head of spine with slight losses. Toning throughout, with slight browning to pages opposite plates. Slight water staining to margins of rear 90 pp.
