Set of 24 Microscope Slides, including 3 John Benjamin Dance (1812-1887) microdots, 19th and 20th century. With Book of William Hogarth's Works.

Slides include: Wings of Blow fly; frog; pleurosigma strigosum; scales of pontia brassicae; eye of a lily; diatoms test plate; unlabeled sample; mulberry; illegible slide (2x); proboscis of blow fly (2x); 5 slides of diatoms; hair of mole; flea of cat; scales of azure blue fly; arachnoidiscus japonicus.

John Benjamin Dancer slides include: Night by William Hogarth, Noon by William Hogarth, and The Passage of the Red Sea by E. Danby.

With HANNAY, James, The Complete Works of William Hogarth (c. 1861). Folio, full leather bound. Embossed and gilt cover, with raised and gilt spine.
Case is H: 1 1/2 x W: 5 1/2 x D: 3 3/8 in. Fair. Slide labels of John Benjamin Dancer peeling, with smudges and slight browning. HANNEY volume has toning throughout. Corners, spine, and covers, bumped, rubbed, and scuffed. Head and tail of spine fraying, with slight losses.
