3 preliminary leaves, xv, [1], 442, [2], 60, [10] pages: illustrations, plates, maps (some folded), plans, facsimiles. Titled in red and black.

Bound in contemporary mottled calf with red leather spine label, spine rebacked and covers reinforced.

H: 14 1/2 W: 9 1/4 in.

Condition

Fair to Good. With some water damage to the bottom of the volume throughout. Some slight foxing. With pencilled note on replaced free endpapers, "Originally from Ely Family Library. Fire damage. (In 1909, Ely black fire which destroyed much of Elyria's 1st Public Library? Ely books were donated to the first public library. Purchased from Bob Levinting 'Publix' book mart ca 1965." Edges with some blackening. Tape marks at [10] at rear of text.
