A First Edition Henry Miller Insomnia or The Devil at Large, Signed and Dated.
Book illustrated from photos, facsimile letters, engravings and writings by Miller; measures 30.5 x 21.5 cm. (12 x 8½ in.), spiral-bound book with decorative metallic foil jacket with cloth lining.
Together with: 12 color broadside prints that measure 55.8 x 43 cm. (22 x 17 in) from Miller's artwork and a card-stock plate with mounted pictorial title label. Book is complete.
Housed inside the original treated wooden portfolio box: with slide-out front cover and decorative onlay wooden borders at top and bottom. Book set inside a recessed section of foam with a patterned paper backing, front with pictorial cover from photo of Miller with his Japanese wife Hoki Tokuda and the book title.
Printed announcement for this title laid in. One of 385 copies, book signed and dated May 1, 1970 by Miller, plus publisher's limitation rubberstamp, in the colophon. Edition G. First Edition.
