Sunoco Oil Lighted Point-of-Sale Display, Mid 20th Century,
A point-of-sale display for Sunoco Motor Oil with three metal oil bottle caddies holding twenty four embossed glass oil bottles with metal spouts and caps. Three of the bottles are by Sunoco, three are by Standard Oil Co. Six of the metal caps are embossed with MobilOil logo.
Display has a porcelain enamel facade in yellow with navy blue and red accents and text which reads: Mercury Made Sunoco Motor Oil.
The interior of the display has four light bulbs and an electric cord which plugs into a standard outlet. The lights function but are very dim.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
Stand has had restoration work and inpainting in some places. All lots have imperfections or the effects of aging. Gray's Auctioneers shall have no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
