Includes: Moral and Intellectual Constitution of Man by Thomas Chalmers (1835, Treatise 1, 2 vols.); On the Adaptation of External Nature to the Physical Condition of Man by John Kidd (1834, Treatise 2); On Astronomy and General Physics by William Whewell (1834, Treastise 3); The Hand, Its Mechanism and Vital Endowments by Charles Bell (1834, Treatise 4); Animal and Vegetable Physiology by Peter Roget (1834, Treatise 5); Geology and Mineralogy by William Buckland (1836, Treatise 6); On the History Habits and Instincts of Animals by William Kirby (1835, Treatise 7); Chemistry, Meteorology and the Function of Digestion by William Prout (1834, Treatise 8).

8vo. Rebound in modern full Moroccan. Gilt borders and richly gilt and raised spine. Red and black ruled title and volume, gilted. Marbled edges.

Each volume is approximately 350 pp., with plates, including chromolithographs.
