Eighteen books of the secrets of art & nature: being the summe and substance of naturall philosophy, methodically digested / first designed by John VVecker Dr in physick, and now much augmented and inlarged by Dr R. Read; a like work never before in the English tongue.
With a printer device on t.p. With engraved frontis., woodcut head and tailpieces and initials, numerous woodcut diagrams in the text.

Bookseller's advertisements at rear of text. With title printed in large letters at Verso of A1.

Bound in blind stamped leather, raised bands, speckled edges.


H: 11 1/2 W: 7 1/2 in.

With dealer description laid in; with, “the B. M. copy lacks the page after the title,” in pencil on front pastedown endpaper.

Condition

Very Good, head and tail of spine pulled away, some slight foxing throughout, some slight staining in the gutter throughout.
