Yvonne McKague Housser was a Modernist Canadian artist. She studied at the Ontario College of Art and then in Paris. She first exhibited her work with the Royal Canadian Academy in 1923. Invited to exhibit with the Group of Seven in 1928, 1930 & 1931, the group disbanded and formed the Canadian Group of Painters, of which Housser was a founding member and President from 1955-1956. She was awarded the Order of Canada in 1984 and received the Ontario College of Art's AJ Casson Award for Distinguished Service in 1991.
