The Gray's January Fine Antiques, Art and Decorations Auction features porcelain and art accepted and displayed in Paris. At the Paris Exhibition of 1878, two of a set of eight Minton Cabinet Plates attributed to Christopher Dresser and formerly belonging to Newton A. Rockefeller were exhibited in Paris. Continuing a Parisian theme is the large landscape by Marcel Adolph Bain entitled Le Petit Pont that earned a place at the Society des Artistes’ 1914 Salon. A tureen from the Brühl'sche Allerlei Service and a Shoo Fly mechanical fly swatter are but two of the many other delights and surprises.
