The Flight into Egypt,
Oil on copper
An 18th/19th century copy. Original painting hangs in the Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester, England.
Black and gold marble frame.
Painting size: H: 19 1/4 x W: 15 5/8 in.
H: 26 W: 22 D: 2 1/2 in.
Heavily re-varnished, losses to pigment on outer edges of copper, with dents and warping to outer edges of copper sheet, frame abrasions to all four sides. This painting is framed with a heavy marble frame which has multiple areas of restoration throughout.
