Chicago Band Box Automaton,
Chicago Band Box features a stage with seven musician players: a pianist, violinist, drum player, upright bass player, saxophonist, trumpeter and trombonist. The band members sit at colored stations on a blue and red stage in front of a painted blue and white nighttime beach scene. Gold curtains frame the stage. Red and yellow musical stenciling details at sides of stage. Bottom of the stage has text which reads Play Hit Tune Of The Week.
H: 28 1/8 W: 45 D: 25 in.
Proceeds to benefit the Summit County Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
Figures all have movement. Violin player has separation in right arm. Frame of the structure has been repainted. Curtain mechanism is not functioning, but could be repaired. The engine needs servicing, it can only run for a minute before it starts to smoke.
