Chester-Pollard Play The Derby Arcade Game, Early 20th Century.
A rare c. 1929 vintage arcade game produced by the Chester-Pollard Amusement Company. Play The Derby features a race between two horses, one black and one brown, at the cost of 5¢ to the player. The game is fully mechanical: insert a nickel and two players can each spin a dial to “race” two horses along the racetrack. The number of the winner is noted on a placard after the winning horse crosses the finish line.

Interior of the case has the number 39 painted on it. The inside of the glass door has the number 30 impressed into the wood.
