Poor. Spine, corners, and edges bumped, scuffed, and rubbed. Some loss on corners. Boards are rubbed and scuffed extensively. Slight foxing throughout. Vol. 1 front board almost completely detached. Flyleaves torn with some losses. Vol. 1 inscription sticking to front interior board. Vol. 3 spine has separated from pages, and flyleaf with inscription is loose.
Inscription: "A Present from Captain Henry Holbeach, 60th Rifles, 1839."
