Fair to poor. Covers rubbed and corners bumped, some slight foxing throughout, some slight tears. Maps are torn and loose. Slight water damage to top edges.

Pocket map in vol. 1 (Track Chart of U.S.S. Jeannette) torn in half.

Slight tears in vol. 2, pp. 649, 664, 859. Map p. 745 detached and split, map p. 840 torn. Frontispiece of Vol. 2 loose.
