5 volumes. 8vo. Full Moroccan leather. Gilt borders. Raised and embossed spine, with black ruled and gilt titles. Red edges.

Vol. 1: Frontispiece, 495 pp., 2 folding maps.
Vol. 2: Frontispiece, 464 pp., 8 plates (2 folding maps).
Vol. 3: Frontispiece, 480 pp., 7 plates (all portraits).
Vol. 4: Frontispiece, 480 pp., 7 plates (2 folding maps).
Vol. 5: Frontispiece, 469 pp. 7 plates (1 folding map), with index to the five volumes.

Each volume is H: 8 3/8 x W: 5 3/8 x D: 1 1/2 in.

Condition

Poor. Vol. 1 is split at page 179. Spine is torn, cracked, with near complete loss. Front and back boards detached. Vol. 2 front board detached. Vols. 3-5 hinges weak with some separation. Toning, browning, and foxing throughout. Covers scuffed, bumped, and rubbed, with losses. Corners bumped and scuffed with significant losses.
