The general history of the vast continent and islands of America, commonly call'd the West-Indies, from the first discovery thereof : with the best accounts the people could give of their antiquities: collected from the original relations sent to the kings of Spain, by Antonio de Herrera, historiogapher to His Catholick Majesty; translated into English by Capt. John Stevens; illustrated with cutts and maps.

Title pages in red and black. With frontis, and head and tail pieces; illustrated and decorative initials.

Bound in blind stamped speckled leather, raised bands, gilt spine panels, top edge blue, other edges speckled, red leather spine title label, gilt spine title, black leather spine volume label, gilt spine volume.

Fair, some covers detached (Vol. 1, Vol 4, Vol. 5, Vol. 6), corners rubbed, spines cracked; contents fresh and clean, most plates in very good to fine condition.
