Microscopic observations; or, Dr. Hooke's wonderful discoveries by the microscope, illustrated by thirty-three copper plates, curiously engraved; whereby the most valuable particulars in that celebrated author's Micrographia are brought together in a narrow compass; and intermixed, occasionally, with many entertaining and instructive discoveries and observations in natural history.
2 preliminary leaves, 65, [4] pages, 33 leaves of plates (3 folded), illustrations.
Bound in 1/2 vellum with gray paper boards.

With bookplates, "John A. David" and "From the book of A. EN.da C. Andrade Fellow of the Royal Society" at front pastedown endpaper.
Condition
Good. Tail of spine torn, hing at t.p. Split. Some offsetting of plates. Binding soiled and edges rubbed and bumped.
