LEMERY, Nicolas (1645-1715). A Course of Chymistry. Third Edition, translated from the eighth edition in the French, which is very much enlarged beyond any of the former.

London: Printed for W. Kettilby, and sold by James Bonwicke at the Hat and Star in St. Paul's Church-yard, 1698.

A course of chymistry: containing an easie method of preparing those chymical medicines which are used in physick. With curious remarks, and useful discourses upon each preparation, for the benefit of such as desire to be instructed in the knowledge of this art.
[24], 815, [19] pages: 10 leaves of illustrations and tables. With marginal notes and index.

Bound in blind stamped leather, raised bands, black leather spine label with gilt spine title, speckled edges.

H: 7 1/2 W: 5 in.

With "Sarah Smith" in ink on front free endpaper and head of dedication [3].

Binding tight, partially impacting text. With ink spot on edges pages 733-810, does not impact text.
