7 volumes. 8vo. Cloth bound in reds, browns, tans, and blue. Printed and embossed covers. Each volume contains approximately: folding frontispiece map, 400 pp., with illustrations.
Largest volume is H: 9 1/2 x W: 6 1/2 x D: 1 3/8 in.
Poor to fair. Toning throughout. Many pages with slight tears. R. S. Peale Co. volume has mouse nibbles on lower corners, and rebound spine, with old spine on interior paste-down. Corners, spines, and covers bumped, rubbed, and scuffed with slight losses. Some spines sun faded.
Front flyleaf ink inscription on one of the Columbian Guide Company volumes: "For: Mr. Pease, Chief Clerk, Pass Dept. W.C.E" and "Compliments of The Columbian Guide Co., W. S. Sheppard, [illegible]."
